Kelly's Wood Art... carving with vision.
Kelly Madsen creates art with a chainsaw and electric tools. Kelly has been carving for nine years, has been recognized nationally on The Discovery Channel, PBS, and was in a national commercial. Her work is in collections nationwide and can be seen at the Country Club of Louisiana golf course and in many log homes and private collections.
Born in Aberdeen, WA and raised in Idaho, Kelly relocated to Louisiana for five years and now resides in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Kelly's chain saw wood carvings include animals, human faces and forms, and architectural beams, totems and other structural pieces for home interiors or exteriors. Some of her favorites are all kinds of bears, eagles, and Indian figures, but she carves many more subjects than are photographed here. Kelly carves mantles, panels for doorways and windows, and pre-made furniture.
Recently, Kelly has specialized in creative custom carving for log homes. Follow the Log Homes link to see how carvings can add life and new beauty and interest to your log dwelling.

"The minute, the very second I start the chainsaw it is done with prayer. First I pray for safety, then I pray for vision and then, as I carve, I am actually releasing love energy in my work. The love that I carve with is the reason I am still carving today." -- Kelly Madsen |
